GIS Three-position Load Break Switch For Gas Insulated Switchgear

The GIS three-position load break switch, designed specifically for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), integrates making, isolating, and earthing functions into a single compact unit. Utilizing high-performance insulating gas (such as SF6 or eco-friendly alternatives), it ensures reliable arc extinguishing and insulation. Suitable for medium-voltage distribution systems (12kV–40.5kV), it safely interrupts load currents and fault currents, enhancing system stability and maintenance safety.

Key Features of The GIS Three-position Load Break Switch

1. Three-Position Integrated Design

Making: Reliably carries rated currents and short-time fault currents.

Isolation: Visible breakpoints ensure safe electrical isolation.

Earthing: Rapid grounding during maintenance protects personnel and equipment.

2. Advanced Arc Extinguishing Technology

Gas-filled arc chambers and optimized contact structures ensure high breaking capacity and extended service life.

3. Compact Modular Design

Fits seamlessly into enclosures of MV GIS switchgear, saving space and enabling flexible installation.

Advantages
High Reliability: Fully sealed structure, resistant to dust and moisture, ideal for harsh environments.

Easy Maintenance: Three-position mechanical interlock simplifies operations and reduces gas refilling needs.

Broad Compatibility: Compatible with major GIS brands, custom switchgear available.

Applications
Urban distribution networks

Industrial substations

Renewable energy integration (e.g., solar, wind)

Rail transit power systems

Environmental Conditions of GIS Load Break Switch

1. The altitude should not exceed 2000m, and the vibration cracking degree should not exceed 8 degrees;
2. The ambient temperature of the product should be -40℃ ~ +140℃, and the daily average relative temperature should not exceed 90%, and the monthly average should not exceed 90%;
3. It is not suitable for installation sites with frequent and severe vibrations, water vapor, gas, chemical corrosive deposition, salt spray, dust and dirt, and fire and explosion hazards that obviously affect the performance of the mechanism.
