Function & Operation of CXJG-8 Manual Crank Drawer Unit

The CXJG-8 drawer unit is a manual crank-operated push-in mechanism, offering simple operation, reliable locking, and multiple height options. Suitable for switchgear drawers with heights of H=150, 200, 300, 400, and 600mm.

This drawer unit features three-position display, positioning, and interlocking lock function, with mechanism heights of H=69, 82, 119, and 145mm. It is available in rear outlet and side outlet versions, with rated current options of 125A, 250A, 400A, and 630A.

The travel distance from the test position to the working position is 24mm.

At the test position, the primary circuit is disconnected and the secondary circuit is connected.

At the connected position, both primary and secondary circuits are connected.

Switches: The mechanism can be configured with up to two NO and two NC auxiliary switches at either test or working positions as needed. The standard configuration provides one NO/NC switch at the test position.

Operating Positions Explained
Disconnected Position:
Align to “Disconnected” indicator. Turn the handle clockwise to push in the drawer. Both primary and secondary circuits are disconnected.

Test Position:
Continue turning clockwise from the disconnected position. Drawer moves forward and displays “Test.” Secondary circuit connects; drawer is locked and cannot be removed.

Connected Position:
Turn further clockwise to “Connected.” Both primary and secondary circuits are now live.
Important: The crank handle must be removed to allow circuit breaker closing. Once closed, the handle slot is blocked. The handle cannot be inserted, and the drawer cannot be moved unless the breaker is opened.
