F10-16 8NO+8NC Heavy-Duty Control Switch For Medium/High Voltage AIS

The F10-16 series auxiliary switch is a maximum-capacity secondary pilot component engineered for comprehensive protection, control, and remote monitoring networks within medium and high-voltage Air-Insulated Switchgear (AIS) substations. This highly integrated unit directly translates the primary mechanical action of vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs) into coordinated electrical signals, acting as a heavy-duty wiring hub for intricate control cubicles.

Equipped with an expansive 8-stage layout providing 16 independent circuits (8 Normally Open + 8 Normally Closed), the F10-16 is explicitly designed for engineering projects that demand extensive secondary loop redundancy. It concurrently fields status signals for dual trip coils, closing interlocks, automatic reclosing schemes, microcomputer-based protection relays, and complex remote SCADA diagnostics without requiring intermediate expansion relays.

Structure and Features of F10-16 8NC8NO AUX Switches

Omni-Channel Control Loop Centralization
By packing 16 distinct control channels into a single, cohesive interlock block, the F10-16 drastically reduces panel space requirements. It eliminates the cost, wiring labor, and response propagation delays associated with deploying external intermediate auxiliary relays, consolidating the breaker’s entire signaling matrix into one durable unit.

High-Pressure Surface-Wiping Contact Interface
The internal switching system features a self-cleaning, dual-blade wiping contact geometry. Upon breaker actuation, the contacts slide under constant mechanical tension, actively scraping away any micro-scale environmental contamination or oxide film. This ensures a persistent low-resistance interface, eliminating voltage drops and thermal issues under continuous 10A current loads.

High-Torque Torsional Rigidity
The internal operating cams are directly spline-keyed to the high-tensile solid square shaft. This robust mechanical linkage prevents torsional flexing during the violent high-speed transitions typical of medium-voltage switchgear. Consequently, all 16 contact paths actuate with strict time synchronization and minimal contact bounce.

Multi-Chamber Isolated Casing
The outer housing is injection-molded from a high-dielectric polymer with a top-tier Comparative Tracking Index (CTI). Each individual 2-terminal stage is isolated within its own internal arc-shielding chamber. This design successfully confines any localized secondary switching arcs and prevents cross-terminal insulation breakdown in humid, dusty, or unheated industrial substation environments.

Mechanical Configurations & Mechanical Linkage Variations

To interface seamlessly with diverse breaker kinematics and enclosure depths within modern air-insulated switchgear installations, the F10-16 series is supplied in two distinct physical variants:

Standard Drive Profile (F10-16 Base Model): Features a compact standard-length square steel shaft and an integrated green rotation keying sleeve. This configuration delivers an optimized horizontal footprint, tailored for direct coupling within integrated circuit breaker spring operating mechanism enclosures.

Extended Drive Profile (F10-16III/LD Specification): Designed specifically for deeper structural layouts, this model features an elongated square drive shaft to bridge larger clearances between primary mechanisms and the secondary instrument cubicle (common in central-mounted switchgear like the KYN28 series). This specification also incorporates indelible terminal channel indices laser-marked directly onto the casing frame to expedite accurate high-density secondary wiring.

Working Conditions of F10-16  Auxiliary Switch

1. Ambient Temperature (-40℃≤ t ≤40℃)

2. Height above Sea Level (h≤3000m)

3. Monthly mean relative air humidity ≤ 90%, daily mean relative air humidity ≤ 95%

4. Oscillatory acceleration 15m/s2

5. Situation of no sharp pounding, no explosion risk, no inductive dust, no air destroying, insulators or corroding metal, and so on.
