The JN15-12 Earthing Switch with Insulation Cover is designed for medium-voltage switchgear with a rated voltage of 12kV and below. It provides reliable earthing performance with enhanced insulation protection, ensuring safety during maintenance and inspection. The insulated cover effectively prevents exposure of live parts, improving both operational safety and reliability.
The earthing switch has a bracket, grounding knife assembly, static contact, sensor, shaft, inflection arm, pressure spring, conductive casing and soft connection.
Note: The bracket is bent from a thin steel plate and welded into parts, the rest are assembled parts.
Features
1.High Safety – Copper contacts ensure stable connection and strong current-carrying capacity.
2.Insulated Protection – Equipped with an insulation cover to prevent live part exposure.
3. Flexible Operation – Compact design with manual operation, reliable and intuitive action.
4.Easy Installation – Simple structure, widely adaptable for various switchgear types.
5.Stable Performance – Verified by repeated opening and closing tests for long-term use.
Environmental conditions
1. Applicable to the following environmental conditions.
a.Altitude not more than 1000m above sea level.
b. Ambient temperature not higher than +40°C and not lower than -10°C.
c.Relative humidity not greater than 95% on a daily average and not greater than 90% on a monthly average.
d. The seismic intensity does not exceed 8 degrees.
2. Not suitable for use in the following locations
a. Installation sites where there are gases, vapours, chemical precipitates, smoke, dust and dirt that seriously affect the insulation and conductivity of the earthing switch, as well as its explosive erosive substances.
b. The installation site is subject to frequent and severe vibrations.
a. When operating the operating mechanism to close the earth switch, as the torque makes the spindle overcome the resistance torque, drive the inflection arm to rotate along the closing direction, and make the manipulating rod on the earth knife pass through the dead point of the pressure spring, the pressure spring releases energy to make the earth switch close quickly, in the closing position. The grounding knife on the grounding knife assembly is firmly and reliably contacted by the disc spring and the flange part of the static contact.
b. When the switch is opened, the moment of action causes the spindle to overcome the main moment and the spring force, driving the inflection arm to rotate in the direction of opening and causing the grounding knife pressure spring to pass through the dead point and the pressure spring energy storage to end for the next closing.
c. The grounding switch and the closing speed are independent of the operating speed of the person.
