Voltage Presence Indicator System Features

Reliability: Our voltage presence indicator features an inductive (non-contact) sensor that detects line live status from a safe distance. It offers clear directional indication and high sensitivity, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Cost-Effectiveness: This advanced voltage presence indicator system does not directly contact the live body, eliminating the need for partial discharge tests during installation and maintenance. This simplicity and convenience contribute to low maintenance costs and a long service life.

Comprehensive Functions: Includes features such as flash indication, self-testing, and activation of forced interlock circuits, genuinely providing comprehensive forced interlock capabilities.

Adaptability: Available in diverse configurations, it can be widely used in indoor, outdoor, medium voltage gas insulated switchgear (GIS), and various other environments.

Normal Working Conditions of Voltage Presence Indicator

Ambient Temperature: The upper limit is +40°C, the lower limit is -25°C, and in special areas, not lower than -35°C.

Altitude: Not higher than 1000m in the installation area.

Atmospheric Conditions: Daily average relative humidity is ≤ 95%, and the monthly average is ≤ 90%. Daily average water vapor pressure is ≤ 2.2kPa, and the monthly average is ≤ 1.8kPa.

Environmental Conditions: No obvious pollution, nor flammable, explosive chemical corrosion, or salt spray in the installation area.

Reinforced Insulation Type (Full Working Condition):

Installation Altitude: ≤ 3000m

Suitable for use in condensation environments.

Applicable to Class 2 pollution environment.

DXN Voltage Presence Indicators Series

VPIS Model Type Primary Function Key Interlock Feature Anti-Misoperation
DXN8D-T Prompt Type: Indicates the live status of medium voltage circuits. No Interlock: Does not include a direct locking mechanism. Primarily serves as a visual prompt for general safety awareness and to prevent misoperation.
DXN8D-Q Mandatory/Forced Type: Offers live indication with integrated interlock control. Includes Forced Interlock: Cooperates with an electromagnetic lock to forcibly lock switchgear operating handles and network doors. Significantly improves anti-misoperation by preventing accidental closing of grounding switches when charged, and preventing mistaken entry into live intervals within the switchgear.

Working Principle of Voltage Presence Indicator

This voltage presence indicator system utilizes electric field coupling for inductive, non-contact measurement of line live status in medium and high voltage environments, ensuring safety from a distance.

The voltage presence indicator is composed of a sensor and a display unit. Its four sensors specifically align with the A, B, C phases and ground, receiving electric field signals non-contact for precise status judgment.

When the network is live, A, B, C phase indicators illuminate, the ‘Operation’ light is off, activating a forced interlock signal. Conversely, when de-energized, A, B, C indicators extinguish, ‘Operation’ lights up, and the interlock releases for equipment operation. Phase-by-phase control ensures any live phase triggers a flash alarm and forced interlock.

For enhanced safety, a continuous forced interlock signal is maintained if the display loses power or if its self-test function detects any malfunction.
